As a part of our KHOP Statement of Purpose, we believe that God has directed us to “Multiply Spirit-Empowered Prayer and Worship” by promoting “the development of individuals and teams to minister with excellence in the power of the Holy Spirit.” We believe that the development of the KHOP Ministry Internships is a step towards fulfilling that core value. Our desire is to equip individuals with the skills, resources, and experience necessary to impact their world with the power of the Word and the Holy Spirit. We believe our students will serve their local church, parachurch, and house of prayer ministries well.
The KHOP Internship Program is designed to equip people for ministry opportunities at KHOP as well as in the local church. We will be offering four internships for the Spring 2015 semester:
Each internship track will offer specialty classes and practicum at various times during the week (or month), depending on the specific track. All three tracks will require a common set of core classes that will run 50 minutes for 6 - 7 weeks.
Spring 2018 - Dates to be determined.
All KHOP Internships contain a shared core curriculumn. Core classes being taught this semester will include:
This internship will train and equip musicians and singers to facilitate prophetic worship. This internship is open to people (16 years and older) of varied abilities and experience, from those who are just learning an instrument through those that have been leading worship for years. We have designed this internship to provide people a solid foundation in the basic principles of music making: music theory, aural comprehension, song charting & design, improvisation/prophetic singing, group lessons for voice (required for all) and a harmonic instrument (guitar or keys), etc. (Group lessons are also available for melody instruments, such as flute or violin.) Interns will spend time exploring the Biblical concept of worship, the role of the worship leader within the house of prayer context as well as within the local church, band leadership, etc. In addition, ample time will be given throughout the course of the semester for practicing the harp & bowl (antiphonal) style experienced at KHOP. - read more -
Students will acquire the knowledge of how to cultivate a lifestyle of intercession. They will learn the importance of daily intimacy with God as well as corporate intimacy through spending time in the Prayer Room and at their local church. The students during this internship will become daily intercessors doing prophetic intercession and prayer walks. They will learn about how to watch for the Lord, by spending hours with Jesus. Most importantly, they will learn important elements of being a militant intercessor and his/her role in the transformation of a city through the power of intercessory prayer. - read more -
